Humane Incarceration: A Panel Discussion with Concord Prison Outreach and State Representatives

Join us for a panel discussion on Humane Incarceration, sponsored by Concord Prison Outreach and the League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle. 

State Representatives and Concord Prison Outreach will explore ways to improve the health and quality of life of the people incarcerated in the Commonwealth and prepare them, upon release, to be full citizens and healthy community members. The discussion will include programs at state prisons and legislative initiatives aimed at achieving these goals.

Panelists will include: 

* Sam Williams—Executive Director of CPO
 CPO manages programs in several prisons in the Commonwealth, including MCI Concord. These include fatherhood, horticulture, book discussion, WELCOMEBACKpacks, and holiday gift bag.

* Simon Cataldo—District 14 Middlesex (Concord, Carlilse, Acton, Chelmsford)

* Chris Worrell—District 5 Suffolk (Dorchester)

* Priscilla Sousa—District 6 Middlesex (Framingham)

* Nancy Bettinger—MA LWV expert on criminal justice systems 

* Diane Proctor, member of the Board of the LWVCC, will moderate the discussion.
