A/V Lab

Use of our A/V Lab includes access to four sets of equipment:

• a Podcasting Kit that includes two microphones and a mixer
• a Video Kit that includes a 4K digital camcorder, tripod, optional clip-on microphones, three standing lights,  green screen, black fabric backdrop, and a small collection of props and accessories, 
• a  25" Pop-Up Photography Studio with black and white backdrops and DSLR camera, and
• an Editing Booth that includes two 4K monitors compatible with the Workshop's Macbooks and any USB-C equipped device, noise-reducing acoustic paneling, tabletop speakers, and an electric sit/stand desk.

Compatible SD cards are available to borrow from the Workshop's front desk, but they're due back at the end of your reservation, so be sure to leave yourself enough time to transfer your files to a personal device before you go! To save time, you may also want to reserve a Macbook or headphones before you arrive.

Our Podcasting and Video Kits are Trained Makers! Tools - before your visit, be sure to watch our Podcasting Kit or Video Kit training video in its entirety. In addition to our training videos, one-on-one training and guidance on our Podcasting Kit, Video Kit, and Adobe Creative Cloud ONLY may be available by appointment through our friends at Minuteman Media Network! Email mmnnetwork@concordma.gov to check availability.

Use of the A/V Lab is limited to no more than 4 simultaneous users. While advanced reservations are created under a single library card, be advised that each member of your group will be required to present a valid Minuteman Library Network card in good standing in order to enter the A/V Lab.

Want the complete make and model information for our A/V Lab tools? Our Podcasting Kit includes (2) RODE NT1 Signature Series large-diaphragm condenser microphones in table-top stands and (1) RODECaster PRO II Integrated Audio Production Studio. The table may be adjusted to sitting- or standing-height. Our Video Kit includes: (1) Sony Handycam FDR-AX100, (1) RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System with (2) RODE Lavalier GO omnidirectional lavalier microphones, (3) Amaran 100D lights equipped with 23.6" Godox Softboxes on adjustable light stands. Our Pop-Up Photography Studio includes a Foldio3 Studio with halo bars and a Canon Rebel T7.
