Virtual Films at Fowler: High Noon (1952)

Wednesday, June 117:00—8:00 PMZoom

Films at Fowler continues in summer 2025 with Classics Old and New!

For 26 years Concord film viewers gathered on winter evenings at Fowler Library to see some of the most interesting and stimulating examples of current and classic cinema from around the world. That movie series, now called Films at Fowler, changed to an online video streaming format in 2021 and continues in that format in 2024. Because we no longer meet in person, we now watch—on your own schedule—selected movies on Kanopy, a free streaming service available to Library patrons. We will then gather on Zoom on scheduled evenings for a lively movie discussion. The theme of the movies this summer is Classics Old and New!  The movies in this series are highly regarded classic movies that let us experience other people and other stories from around the world.

High Noon (1952)
Discussion date on Zoom: Wednesday, June 11 at 7 p.m

-  Marshal Kane (Gary Cooper) prepares to retire and leave town with his new bride (Grace Kelly) but learns that a notorious outlaw is returning for revenge.

Please watch the film on Kanopy before the discussion.
