The College Essay Studio (Teen)

Tuesday, August 304:00—5:00 PMTeen RoomMain Library129 Main Street, Concord, MA, 01742

Applying to college this Fall? Join The College Essay Studio, Tuesdays in July and August from 4-5pm, to hone your writing, brainstorm in an inviting and safe environment, and leave equipped with skills that will go beyond college applications to essays you will be writing in college. Facilitator Cary Stough, a Brown University graduate and published writer, will lead you through the Common App 2022-2023 essay prompts, so none of it will be a surprise.

College essays have increasingly become the most important part of the college application process. Luckily, Common App has streamlined a lot of that process, but it has also resulted in homogenized essays that blend in with the rest. Learn how to craft a piece of writing that stands out from the pile!

This program is open to all teens, age 11-18, but recommended for highschool students. All genders and identities are welcome. You do not have to be a Concord resident to attend. No registration required.
