Come learn about tapping maple trees! Assistant Farm Manager, Erin Espinosa, from Gaining Ground Farm will join us on the library front lawn and give us a hands on lesson in what's involved in tapping our trees. Learn about how tree sap is transformed into sweet maple syrup!

Gaining Ground farmers tap over 100 maple trees on private and public land in Concord. They collect and boil about 1,500 gallons of sap each winter to make 25 gallons of syrup, which they donate to people experiencing food insecurity.
