Music from the Library: The American Brass Quintet

Music from the Library, sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library, presents three concerts in the library rotunda in its 2023 spring season: February 11, March 18, and April 15. All concerts are Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. The doors open at 7 p.m. The concerts are free, but reservations are required.

April 15th

The American Brass Quintet performs works from the Renaissance to contemporary composers Jennifer Higdon, Joan Tower, and Eric Ewazen. The quintet, founded in 1960, is internationally recognized as one of the premier chamber ensembles of our time. It is in residence at the Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival and has commissioned works from major composers, contributing to the modern brass quintet repertoire.
