The Boston Public Quartet (founder Betsy Hinkle, violin, Joy Cline Phinney, piano, Jason Amos, viola, and Lev Mamuya, cello) performs works by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint Georges, Florence Price, George Walker, and Brahms. Boston Public Quartet was created to connect, inspire, and innovate as an ensemble-in-residence in Boston’s diverse neighborhoods. Through concerts, educational workshops and non-traditional performances, they share our music and experiences. They have performed at the Kennedy Center, with local groups including the Boston Ballet, the Back Bay Chorale, and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and collaborated with musicians of the New York Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, and others.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library, a patron-supported non-profit organization.
