Join the Concord Free Public Library for a live Samulnori concert by the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago! Samulnori ("samul" for "four things" and "nori" for "to play") is a percussion quartet consisting of barrel drum (Buk), hourglass-shaped drum (Janggu), gong (Jing), and small gong (Kkwaenggwari). Traditionally performed outdoors in village events and festivals, it recently took an indoor concertized form. All ages welcome.
