Growing with Climate Change

Climate change is affecting our local farms in many ways. Join us for a presentation by Erin Lane from the USDA Northeast Climate Hub and a panel discussion with Concord farmers Brian Cramer of Hutchins Farm; Lise Holdorf of Barrett’s Mill Farm;  Dan Schmid of Walden Woods Farm; and Steve Verrill of Verrill Farm about how they are adapting to the changing growing conditions.

Erin Lane is the Deputy Director of the USDA Northeast Climate Hub. The mission of the Climate Hub is to develop and deliver science-based, Northeast-specific information and technologies to agricultural and natural resource managers that enable climate-informed decision-making. Erin specializes in climate adaptation strategies, and wildland fire and climate change. She is also a co-founder of the North Atlantic Fire Science Exchange serving the fire community to advance the use of relevant fire science to harmonize fire management goals by bring people together and addressing challenges.
