Film Screening of Mona Lisa is Missing and Q&A with the Filmmakers

Saturday, July 132:00—4:00 PMGoodwin ForumMain Library129 Main Street, Concord, MA, 01742

Join us for a special in-person screening in the Goodwin Forum of the entertaining and informative 2012 documentary "Mona Lisa Is Missing."

This award-winning film describes the theft in 1911 of Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Mona Lisa" from the Louvre Museum in Paris. The theft and subsequent frantic search for the painting caused a scandal in the art world, and elevated "Mona Lisa" to its current status as the world's most famous painting.

The filmmakers will be available on Zoom after the screening to discuss how they researched the story and tracked down dozens of people who are descendants of those involved, including the daughter of the thief himself, who returned the "Mona Lisa" to the Louvre two years later.

The screening is free, and suitable for all ages.
